Artists engaging for human dignity

THE INITIATIVE

Artists worldwide have often been «a seismic people», providing a critical register of the general health of civilisation. We dedicate our activities and resources to the development of the arts because we recognize the freedom of creative expression as a cornerstone of democratic, just and fair societies.

Our guiding principle:

Liberty for Arts - Arts for Liberty

«The goals of the FAIRPLAY FOUNDATION are very promising and I support them with great enthousiasm. I believe that in the present times of growing intolerance and scepticism concerning democratic achievements in the whole of Europe, initiatives of this kind are of extreme importance.»

Our Purpose

The Profile

Our commitment is given to individuals, groups and organisations focused on cultivating the arts, cultural expression and to artists or aspiring artists of all fields who suffer due to inacceptable learning and living conditions.

The Vision

Fairplay Foundation is an incorporated charitable organization dedicated to cultural diversity, arts and artists all over the world. Vital cultures, intercultural exchange and arts education are basic peace building elements for a global and open society.

Artists help societies to understand that living in dignity is a result of the fullfilment of existential needs and that one of the fundamental needs is to express the entire cultural repertoire for which humankind «invented» the arts.

The Foundation was established to operate in the way of a supranational and independent NGO. We always intervene by non-political and non-religious means to be able to stay focused on three dimensions of direct, sustainable and unbureaucratic humanitarian aid which is based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UNESCO programme of the Diversity of Cultural Expression.
